The ace badminton player, on Monday, shared a video with a message titled “We must protect our children”. She said, “Child safety in a very important subject and I am very happy to spread about project Masoom, which is an initiative by Young Indians. Let us lend our hands to protect children of our countries against child sexual abuse”.
An integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Young Indians is a non-government, not-for- profit, industry led and industry managed organisation which has conceived the project ‘Masoom’ to keep children safe by creating awareness on child safety amongst young children, parents, and other stakeholders.
Ranked number two in the World Badminton Ranking, this 23 year old star shuttler has won almost all the badminton championships. She, recently won the Olympics gold medal against our beloved PV Sindhu. Carolina also played for the Bengaluru-based team Banga Beats in the inaugural edition of the Indian Badminton League in 2013.
Carolina has done a great work fighting for the sexually abused children in India. This is a great initiative by the Spanish shuttler. More number of famous personalities should take such initiatives to make the world a better place.
